Summary of duties: The Billing Records Chart Auditor is responsible for identifying billing and coding documentation errors including missing, deficient, or inaccurate data within the patient records. 

Duties & Essential Functions:

• Quality control of billing records 

• Organization and creation of chart checklists 

• Identify and document all missing, deficient and/or inaccurate data or documentation 

• Communicate proactively with team members, clinical directors and clinical and billing staff to resolve errors found 

• Understand the important aspects of proper documentation 

Skills & Expectations: 

• Possess the ability to operate independently 

• Efficiency while navigating EHR system and Salesforce 

• Must stay current on all updated processes and procedures 

• Sufficient knowledge of proper documentation and good record-keeping 

• Effective communication with Direct Manager 

• Maintain confidentiality of patients and records 

• Hold an active Certified Professional Coder certification.
